The Vineyard Wine Bar Located right here in Havre de Grace and walkable from the Vandiver, this amazing place is not a winery, but recognized as one of the best wine bars and wine lists in the Upper Chesapeake / Baltimore Area. Great food and a fantastic, well educated staff in a comfortable but swanky environment.
Creole de Graw: The chefs here are turning out some terrific Cajun and Creole. Our personal favorites are any of the blackened fishes and the Shrimp and Grits are off the hook. 10% Discount for Vandiver Guests!
River City Public House: Chef Bruce Clarke created the famous Laurrapin Grille and Laurrapin Catering and has created a fun, creative GastroPub menu featuring some terrific burgers, meatloaf and soooooo much more. A great beer list and VERY affordable wine list are complemented by the murals and artwork from local artist Ezra Berger.
MacGregor's: A great view, wonderful service and perhaps some of the area's best crabcakes highlight dining at MacGregor's. Music on the back deck while your watching the boats and trains cross the Susquehanna make things even more fun. The Rockfish is another fave.
Coakley's: Owners Margie Coakley and Will Nori have given new life to one of the area's favorite watering holes. Now, a beautiful backyard (that's selling it short) with huge performance space and outdoor dining and dancing complement a completely remodeled interior with multiple bars and dining areas indoor and out. Wonderful service and a fun menu with some great daily specials. We were blown away by the huge Philly Cheesesteak done by request in our very non-tradtional way (swiss cheese and grilled onions) and (believe it or not) one hell of a hotdog with all the trimmings!
Promenade Grill (in the Tydings Park Parking Lot): Walk up to your old-school waterfront fry house with burgers, fries and fish sandwhiches but also expect some terrific off-the-path items such as the brats, fried softshells Po' Boys.... and did someone mention Ice Cream....this is a great place to have lunch and then take a nice long walk over the Promenade and then to town
